Frank C. Lieber began his painting contractor business in the 1920's in San Angelo, Texas. Frank was President of the Texas Council of the PDCA (Painting and Decorating Contractors of America) and served in several capacities at the national level of the organization.

Frank's son, Jack Lieber, worked for his dad upon returning from the service. After several years, Jack started his own company, Jack Lieber Painting & Decorating.

Don grew up in San Angelo and graduated from Texas Tech with a business degree in 1974. He worked in management at Southwest Bell for ten years, then decided the corporate business was not his world.

Don Buchholz married Jack's daughter, Beth in 1973. Don worked for Jack as an apprentice and now handles the day to day operations of the company. He enjoys the interaction with our customers and vendors. Beth grew up in the painting business and works behind the scenes.

Jack Lieber Painting & Decorating was incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in 2000. In 2004, the name was changed to Lieber Painting, Inc. to properly identify the primary purpose of the corporation: painting.

Lieber Painting currently has six full-time and two part-time employees.

Our suppliers, Sherwin Williams, Kelly-Moore and Pittsburg provide us with excellent products including "green" paint (low or no VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) and 100% acrylic) and some with antimicrobial properties to inhibit mold growth on the paint surface. Our suppliers also perform custom color matching.
